The Micromeritics AccuPyc II is a fully automatic gas displacement pycnometer. Gas pycnometry is recognized as one of the most reliable techniques for obtaining skeletal volume and density. Density and volume are determined by measuring the pressure change of helium (or other analysis gas) within calibrated cell volumes. AccuPyc II 340 Pycnometer at ATAMI has a 1 cm3 sample chamber with a 0.1 cm3 sample cup.

  • Measuring small, dry sample volumes

Specifications and Features

  • Volume measurement range: up to 0.1 cm3

  • Reproducibility typically to within 0.01% of the nominal full scale cell chamber volume. Reproducibility guaranteed to within in ±0.02% of the nominal full scale volume on clearn, dry, thermally equilibrated samples using helium in the 15 to 35 oC range (15 to 50 oC for temperature controlled models)

  • Accurate to within 0.03% of reading, plus 0.03% of sample capacity
